Yuengling Brewery

Founded in 1829 by David G.Yuengling, Yuengling is recognized as America's oldest brewery. The family of beers brewed includes porters, lagers and ales that have quenched the thirst of loyal customers for nearly two centuries. For over 175 years each recipe has called for both American six row and imported two row barley malt along with a combination of Cluster and Cascade hops. Coupled with longer aging times, each of these craft-brewed beers offers its own unique appearance, aroma, taste, and mouthfeel. This home town brewer has the distinction of being a regional brewery without sacrificing flavor to appeal to the masses. Unique tours of this National Historic Landmark are offered daily and on special weekends. There is a free tour and even a free sample at the end of the tour. Situated along historic Mahantongo street, the Yuengling brewery even has a gift shop and museum.
