
Harmony was founded in 1804 as the first home of the German communal Harmony Society. Washington visited an Indian village here and survived a shooting during his 1753 mission, an event that precipitated the French & Indian War. Museum Exhibits include: Native Americans, Washington, Harmonists, Mennonites, Charles Flowers long rifles, the oil era, Victoriana.
