Expected to draw more than 165,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from across the United States and Canada in 2019, Roar on the Shore® Bike Week has exploded on the national rally scene and has experienced unprecedented growth in its first 12 years. This unique event boasts no gate entrance fee, offers free headline concerts every night as well as 6 scenic rides (including an amazing celebrity-led parade of bikes) to showcase all the Erie region offers!

Each year the Roar on the Shore® Board of Directors selects a designated charity from an exceptional list of nonprofit service organizations. This year, proceeds from the 2019 Roar on the Shore® Bike Week will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Erie County’s (NAMI) Homefront program. To be launched next year (2019) in Erie, NAMI Homefront is a free, educational program for families, caregivers and friends of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions.

Based on the nationally recognized NAMI Family-to-Family program, NAMI Homefront is designed to address the unique needs of family, caregivers and friends of those who have served or are currently serving our country. The program is taught by trained family members of veterans living with mental health conditions.

To date, through your generosity, Roar on the Shore® has raised and donated $920,000 to charitable organizations, including Shriners Hospitals for Children, SafeNet, Erie Homes for Children and Adults, St. Martin Center, Mercy Center for Women and the Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center, just to name a few.
