Oma's Family Campground is in the small town of Kirkwood, in the heart of the Amish country in Southern Lancaster County. The wooded campground is surrounded by beautiful countryside as well as numerous Amish Farms. Campers may purchase home-grown vegatables, home-made breads, and freshly baked pies, as well as hand-made items from local Amish owned roadside stands. The campground is 30 minutes from some of the most visited areas in the heart of Lancaster County Amish Country. It is also 30 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay, in Maryland, with its many boating and great dining locations. If you are just looking for a quiet, restful and relaxing time, you can build a campfire, stretch out under one of many shade trees, and turn off the rest of the world for a while.
