Senior Groundskeeper

Summary The Senior Groundskeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of our 63-acre campground, venue, and cafe property. This role requires a high attention to detail and ensuring all areas of the property are well-manicured and presentable for wedding and campground guests. This individual will work with our other groundskeeping team members to assign and prioritize work as well as confirm that such tasks are completed at a high level of quality. Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership: Assigning work, ensuring tasks are completed, and potentially training new employees. Grounds Maintenance: Mowing, trimming, planting, fertilizing, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and lawns. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operating and maintaining various groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and potentially larger machinery like tractors. Landscape Design and Maintenance: Assisting with landscape design, installing irrigation systems, and maintaining planting areas. Job Flexibility: Due to the diversity of our operation, grounds keeping encompasses indoor and outdoor work that will ensure our guests are happy with their stay. Other assigned tasks will arise based on those customer needs. Requirements Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various groundskeeping equipment and tools. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and quality in grounds maintenance tasks. Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work weekends (will work at least one weekend per month) 5+ years groundskeeping experience required Hours This role is full-time (30+ hrs per week) and will primarily work on weekdays - 1st shift (can likely be flexible with proper notice).
